FUNDRAISING - 3000 SQUAT CHALLENGE

This month I am taking up the 3000 squat challenge to raise money

for Marie Curie Uk.

That involves performing 3000 squats during March, my aim is to go for 96 a day.

Probably in sets of 32 morning, noon and before bed.

That's a lot of squats!!!!! I have a goal of raising £400.00 - and already with your wonderful donations I have reached nearly £300.00!

You might be wondering what Marie Curie actually do, and why I am putting myself through this daily torture for 31 days...........well, here's the low down:

Marie Curie is the UK's leading end of life charity. They provide frontline nursing, support for families through a free support line, and offer advice and help on all aspects of dying, bereavement and death.

This is something we will all face at some point in our lives, whether helping a loved one through this difficult period, or indeed, dealing with it ourselves.

By donating to Marie Curie, you are providing funding for care, and support for people living with a terminal illness, and their families, across the UK.

Marie Curie UK believe that everyone living with a terminal illness should be able to get the most from the time they have left, however difficult that may be sometimes.

Everything they do relies on the generous donations of supporters.

Around two-thirds of the money they spend each year comes from the people, businesses and trusts who decide to support them. The remaining third comes from the NHS.

Without our, they wouldn’t be able to provide vital care and support to the people who need them at an extremely difficult time.

Since the Covid pandemic - the job of Marie Curie Nurses has been made even harder.

This is what nurse Clare Horgan has to say

Families are very grateful that we’re still coming in overnight, because they don’t want their loved ones going into hospital due to the coronavirus risk. They’re grateful they're still getting the support that they need at the end of life.

Last year, Marie Curie UK helped more than an astounding 69,000 people living with a terminal illness and their families. Can you imagine the financial resources that takes?

This is why every penny that comes their way is utilised to full potential.

So to keep me motivated for 31 days, I would absolutely love to see some donations coming in! You can do this easily by clicking the link to the Facebook fundraising page below.

Thanks to everyone who has donated so far!

Why not join me?!

It's not too late to join in this crazy challenge.

Just think how chuffed you will feel to complete this challenge, and what a wonderful bottom you'll have at the end of it!
